In the realm of build-to-rent developments, where comfort, community, and convenience are paramount, the lobby design and communal spaces hold immense importance. The Power of First Impressions
The lobby is the first point of contact for residents and visitors alike. It sets the tone for what awaits them within the development. By carefully crafting the ambiance, we can create an unforgettable experience that resonates long after the initial encounter. Through thoughtful interior design, innovative lighting, and attention to detail, we aim to captivate and leave a lasting impression on everyone who walks through the doors of a BTR development.
At AGC BTR, we believe that every detail matters when it comes to creating exceptional living experiences. In one of our favourite projects, 8 Water St in Canary Wharf, we meticulously designed the lobby area to evoke a sense of sophistication and luxury, making residents feel as though they are stepping into a hotel or a tranquil holiday retreat every time they come home. Our goal was to bring a wave of relaxation and tranquility to residents as soon as they enter the development, setting the tone for a truly elevated living experience.
Redefining Communal Spaces
Beyond the lobby, communal spaces within build-to-rent developments are the heart and soul of fostering a sense of community among residents. These spaces act as vibrant hubs where individuals can socialise, relax, and build meaningful connections with their neighbours. Our mission is to go above and beyond the standard, providing residents with inspiring environments that enhance their daily lives.
We worked closely with build-to-rent operators, Vertus, to create an environment that connects its residences with the surrounding water and quaint garden space. The development boasts flexible communal areas including; a lounge, self-service bar, screen room, private dining room and an expansive roof terrace (the largest outdoor space in the Vertus portfolio) all carefully curated and designed by AGC BTR.
Designing for Comfort and Functionality
In our pursuit to push the boundaries of communal spaces, we prioritise comfort and functionality. From inviting lounges and co-working areas to fully equipped fitness centers and serene outdoor retreats, we create spaces that cater to the diverse needs and lifestyles of our residents. We understand that a well-designed environment can enhance well-being and promote a sense of belonging.

The lobby serves as a gateway to the residents' homes, and we wanted to ensure that the same sense of relaxation and luxury flowed seamlessly into their apartments. By carefully selecting materials, finishes, and furnishings, we have created a sense of continuity and a feeling of effortless elegance.
